Technorati Tag – can it be moderated

So you have gone to the effor to tag your posts, so that you can share thoughts, ideas and goals with others in the Community. All is working well and you have a liverly discussion ongoing. But with all good things there will come those who think that it is a good thing to abuse – I can see the advertisiers now – adding your tag’s to there posts.

So it does have me wondering how we will deal with this?
Will governments need to legislate as they have with the Spam Act?
Is it appropriate for governments to be involved in a system that is designed to allow people and organisations to have there say?
